Chocolate Banana Protein Muffins

To make these Protein Muffins dairy free or vegan, use our Vanilla Cinnamon BioPro vegan protein and a plant-based milk, such as almond or rice milk.


Sweetened with bananas and a touch of coconut sugar, these Chocolate Banana Protein Muffins are an excellent way to curb those afternoon sugar cravings, while still feeling like you’re eating something indulgent.


Chocolate Banana Protein Muffins

Serves: 12


Time: 1 Hr


1+1/2 cups wholemeal spelt flour

2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1 tbsp coconut sugar

1/4 cup melted coconut oil

3 mashed large bananas

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup milk of choice

4 tbsp PSA WPC Premium Grade Protein

1/4 cup roughly chopped dark chocolate



Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180c/350f and line a muffin tray with baking paper or muffin moulds.


Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and coconut sugar.


Step 3

In a separate bowl, combine the coconut oil, mashed bananas, vanilla and milk.


Step 4

Now add the wet mixture to the dry mixture and gently fold until well combined. Lastly, fold in the dark chocolate pieces.


Step 5

Spoon the batter into the muffin tray, filling each hole 3/4 of the way.


Step 6

Place in the oven and bake for 18-22 minutes – or until golden on top and a skewer comes out clean.




Step 7

Let the muffins cool for 5-10 minutes, then enjoy!
